Youth Workshops


The Youth Workshop with Atanas Chuposki, PhD, within the framework of the 13th PFF is intended for young people interested in the aesthetics of film language aged 17 to 19 (up to 12 participants).

The aim of the workshop is to familiarize young cinephiles with the basics of film language and the ways of interpreting q film story. Like other arts, film art has a specific language but also interpretive tools with the help of which the film story can be interpreted. Thus, the workshop zill be divided into two sessions in which young film buffs will encounter a film story and its specific aesthetics, get acquainted with the basic concepts/terms of film theory, and interpret/read the specific film story they encountered on the big screen.

The workshop will take place in the Cinematheque of N. Macedonia. May 20 (Saturday): Meeting with a film story and Aesthetics of a film story, and on May 27 (Saturday), Reading a film story.

ATANAS CHUPOSKI is a writer and director, PhD in philological sciences and a master of audiovisual arts. He is employed as a filmologist-advisor in the Cinematheque of N. Macedonia, screenwriter and director of seven documentaries and one short feature film. He is the author of twenty TV shows produced by MRT and a hundred radio shows produced by Channel 103 and Radio Ravel. He is the author of five books and over a hundred literary and filmological studies, essays, poems, short stories, and journalistic texts. He is a professor of Film History and Film Theory at Europa Prima University. He is a member of the Society of Macedonian Writers and the Society of Comparative Literature of Macedonia.
