Martín Heredero Campo holds a PhD in Philosophy with honors from the University of Valladolid, where he is currently active in both teaching and research. Alongside his university work, he also teaches philosophy at the San Agustín secondary school in Valladolid, Spain. His academic interests include the philosophy of technology, the problem of nihilism, metaphysics, the question of meaning, and the philosophy of religion. -
Serdar Öztürk | Lecture: Philosophy Through Short Films
Prof. Dr. Serdar Öztürk is a faculty member in the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University, specializing in cinema history, sociology, and philosophy. He has published extensively in national and international journals and authored seven books, including Cinema, Reception, and Politics during the Early Republican Period and CinePhilosophy: The Journey into Kurosawa’s Dreams. His recent research focuses on film philosophy, and he is the founder and publisher of SineFilozofi, an international peer-reviewed journal in this field. In 2022, he established the Cinema and Philosophy Association, organizing seven international symposiums and launching the International Philosophical Films Festival in 2024. Additionally, he shares his expertise through television programs, academic lectures, and online platforms, including two YouTube channels and the widely followed SineFilozofi social media accounts. -
Özer Özkantar | Lecture: Lost Highways in the Mind: Exploring David Lynch's Cinematic Philosophy
Özer Özkantar is an Asst. Prof. Dr. at Gaziantep University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Film Design and Directing. He completed his doctoral studies at Gazi University, specializing in film studies, gender, and media. His academic work focuses on film analysis, semiotics, and gender in cinema, with publications in national and international peer-reviewed journals and contributions to book chapters. Additionally, he has participated in various projects in the fields of cinema and philosophy, presented at scientific conferences, and served as a jury member in film festivals. Özkantar, who also works as an English translator, teaches courses on film aesthetics, sociology of art, and cinema policies, gender and cinema and auteur theory approaching his research from an interdisciplinary perspective. -

His passion for art, philosophy, and cinema, as well as his generous intellectual engagement, built strong bridges that enriched both nations and inspired all who knew him. He will be missed. -

Anastasija Gjurchinova (1963) is an essayist, translator, and university professor of Italian literature. She is the author of numerous monographs and editor of several collections and anthologies. Her translations have earned her the “Dragi” award (once) and the “Golden Pen” award (twice). She is also the recipient of two orders of merit from the President of Italy. -

Sadiku is a researcher, theorist, and activist with a PhD in philosophy. His primary academic interests include theories of the subject, feminism, and radical practices in politics and art. He has studied and conducted research at universities in Munich, Baltimore, Oslo, and Amsterdam. He is a regular contributor to regional and international journals such as Le Monde Diplomatique, Journal Identities, and Bilten.
